Bulgaria

The Republic of Bulgaria is situated in the south-eastern part of Europe, on the north-eastern part of the Balkan peninsula, and has an area of 110 993,6 km2.

The greater part of Bulgaria has temperate climate, while the southern parts and the Black sea coast have Mediterranean influence.

The population of the country is 8 million.

The offial language is Bulgarian. The capital Sofia is the largest industrial and cultural centre.

Since January 2007 Bulgaria has been a member of the EU.

It is expected that by 2009 the country will enter the Euro-zone and shall implement the Schengen Agreement.


Obzor


The project shall be developed by the town of Obzor, situated between Burgas (73 km), Varna (65 km) and Sofia (530 km), where the international airports are located.

The resort is located on a site where the Stara planina mountain ends and the river Dvoinitsa flows into the Black sea.

The town has a population of 2 000 people.

Here, due to the sea climate the temperatures are mild (an annual average of 12 C). The summer is hot and dry. Precipitations averages about 600 mm per year.

The beach sand is white and fine.

The beach-front site on which the resort will be developed has an area of 9,5 hectares, situated next to the road connecting Varna and Burgas.

The site has a rectangular shape – to the east borders on the beach, to the south the border goes along the river Dvoinitsa, to the west – the road from Varna to Burgas, to the north
borders to vast land plots.

The land is owned by the Bulgarian corporation AGK – 2000.
